Designer Focus: Vera Wang at William Glen
Vera Wang has created a unique aspirational world that alludes to sensuality and youthful sophistication. Exquisite details, intricate draping and a nonchalant sense of style characterize the Vera Wang aesthetic. At 23, Wang became the youngest ever Vogue fashion editor and stylist. She later moved to Ralph Lauren as a design director, before opening her own flagship store. Today, her empire encompasses bridal, ready-to-wear, evening wear, footwear, fragrance, jewelry, books and housewares. Her elegant collection for Wedgwood includes bone china dinnerware, crystal stemware and giftware.
Vera Wang made plans for another new line of products, one frequently part of a bride and groom’s gift registry, tabletop and giftware. In it’s first ever licensing agreement, Wedgwood Waterford USA signed with Wang in 2001. Together, the two fashion houses developed a collection of sophisticated tableware, decorative vases, wine glasses, and goblets. William Glen introduced the new Vera Wang tabletop collection to Sacramento in 2002 to great fanfare.
This collection has now returned after a five-year hiatus with the reintroduction of the William Glen Tabletop Collections. This return accompanies the return of bridal registry to William Glen, which allows the area’s modern couples of all ages to receive the service and selection to fit their discerning tastes.
Whether the happy couple is going down the aisle for the first time or not, Vera Wang offers variety and quality for the wedding gift giver. Consider a beautiful set of toasting flutes to gift to the couple at a shower or perhaps a a lovely wedding cake serving set. All items may be engraved for an additional cost. We gift wrap and ship for a nominal amount. William Glen always recommends shipping wedding gifts to alleviate hassle and frustration for the happy couple.
